How do I purchase MyEstimator!?

You can purchase by calling us at (905) 428-8926 ext. 6, or emailing us at publisher@bluebook.ca, we will need to get a copy of your quotation letterhead so that we can customize the program for you. In most instances we can have you set up within one or two working days.

Is there a great deal of set-up required when first using the program?

None at all, we take care of all customizing of the software but the actual use of the program requires no machines or machine rates to be entered what-so-ever. You will need to enter your clients into the program but in 99% of the cases we can export the list from your accounting software and enter them automatically during the installation process.

How does using MyEstimator! benefit my business?

MyEstimator!'s principle benefit is the time it saves you hand estimating, walking the quote over to the fax machine, dialing the number, sending the fax and then later retreiving the faxed quotation. The average size printer saves at least an hour a week just walking to-and-from the fax alone, the time it saves you in preparing the estimate and doing the math for you could easily be another hour a week. It also saves you a great deal of time looking for that quotation you did 3 weeks before and have now mislaid, you can look up an archived quotation in seconds! Let's say you assign your time (conservatively) a rate of $35.00 per hour. If MyEstimator! saves you just two and a half hours a week (probably another conservative estimate) your savings could amount to $1,662.50 per year. That's a lot of time you could be spending finding more business or analyzing your existing business.

How do the analysis tools work in MyEstimator!?

The analysis tools plot the pricing for every quote you produce, by simply taking 10 minutes out at the end of each week to go into the program to click on each quotation that becomes a job you can determine what pricing level works best in each category of work you bid for. If you take it to the next level (which isn't necessary but could be invaluable to your business analysis) and enter your profit on a job by job basis - you can determine your plant's "perfect product profile" the category of work you are most successful at selling and most profitable at producing. You can determine close rates by product category to determine what your most successful pricing level is by product category. If you determine that a job category consistently outperforms your quotations you can identify a category of work that you can price more aggressively allowing you to build additional business and increase your business' profits. Conversely you may find you are getting too much work in a given category indicating that perhaps you are pricing too aggressively, adjusting your price levels may decrease work in that category but increase your bottom line performance.
